Detailed Access Audits and Design Appraisals

Our team brings a wide range of expertise and knowledge to your project, providing you with practical advice and cost-effective solutions. All of our consultants are qualified architects with extensive experience of inclusive design and real life experience of disability.

Our consultants audit your premises and / or services identifying physical barriers, management and policy issues that impact upon their accessibility.

Training Provision

MPH is one of the leading providers in Environmental Access and Disability Equality training. Working to the Disability Rights Council (DRC) Code of Practice, our courses are based on current legislation and a thorough understanding of the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. Courses can also be tailored to suit the specific demands of your business.

Courses are workshop-based, highly interactive and participative and can be either delivered on your site, a local venue, or at our purpose-built MPH Training & Conference Centre in Gateshead.

Access Statements

Advice and support in preparing access statements to demonstrate that a design whilst not to best practice or minimum legal requirements still meet the test of “reasonableness” under the DDA. They also evidence and record the decision making process in any legal challenge under the DDA.

Design Team Support - AutoCad

Our AutoCAD design suite allows accurate desktop appraisals of client drawings to assess spatial provision, dimensions and layouts.

Utilising our extensive in-house library of drawings means we provide rapid, electronic solutions to your design team around problematic issues and design elements such as accessible sanitary provision.

Our team provides support through all RIBA stages, assessing the impact of access issues on design, providing assistance in the planning and implementation of proposals and solutions.

All recommendations are supported by current guidance for example, BS8300: 2001, Approved Document M of the Building Regulations and Best Practice.
